Struggling in motivation is common when procrastinating and pushing all tasks behind. Yet, there are ways to bring that productivity back into a person's timeline. Motivation is accessible and there are ways to increase it whether it's your own or someone else's.

It's okay to feel unmotivated. The process allows you to hear the negative self-talk and take action afterward. For example, when finishing school, you have a load of assignments but push it aside to be on your phone instead.

How to end procrastination?

Young students experience procrastination in school every day. It’s a habit of putting off or delaying something that is in immediate attention. This is a normal act for everyone and it can be troubling and discomforting. When feeling unorganized can lead to stress, misunderstandings, and missed opportunities. There are ways to end procrastination by staying resilient. By doing this, get to know yourself a bit more. What is holding you back from completing a task? Let’s identify different types of procrastination:

The perfectionists

The perfectionists are the avoider of embarrassment or making mistakes. Spending amounts of time on an assignment and failing time management skills. Or avoid the assignment the whole day and then rush to finish it at the last minute.

The imposter

The imposter is afraid of feeling unqualified for the assignment or project. They would do anything to avoid completing it. Usually, this happens when you're around people displeased with your work.

The dread-filled

The dread-filled procrastinator is pushing away assignments because you find them boring. This is hard to get motivated when being this procrastinator.

The overwhelmed

The assignment is too much to do, I don’t know where to start, so it’s best not to do anything.

The lucky

The lucky, work best under pressure, so they procrastinate until the last minute.

If one of these reasons connects with your procrastination now it’s time to work around it and do better. If not, then learning more about yourself on the reasons why your procrastinating. Write it down somewhere and get started on accomplishing motivation.
